Marion Schafer, PhD., CPP

Dr. Schafer is a full-time professor specializing in the principles of packaging, research and development at Indiana University. Dr. Schafer earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University to further his expertise in the field. His expertise allows him to provide in-depth analysis in the areas of distribution packaging and design, packing machinery, packaging problems and packaging and the environment.

Dr. Schafer’s extensive knowledge in the field has garnered many clients with the need to investigate and review packaging issues, distribution, and injuries resulting from improper packaging and handling. Dr. Schafer’s consultation services include training to clients on proper loading, unloading and handling techniques, the infringement of packaging machinery design patents and tested packages for many companies including Fortune 500 companies. As a Professor in Industrial Professional Technology and Packaging Technology Dr. Schafer’s comprehension concerning packaging materials testing, design and analysis have been invaluable to our clients
