Wolf Technical Services was founded by Dr. Jack Wolf in 1977. Dr. Wolf identified a need in the legal and insurance markets for scientifically based expert opinion provided in cases to determine cause and effect in accidents related to motor vehicle and property damage incidents. The company was built on a foundation of integrity in practice, which continues to this day.
Centrally located in Indianapolis, Indiana; Wolf serves clients nationwide with a comprehensive set of service offerings as exhibited in the Wolf Capabilities Matrix. Wolf serves both plaintiff and defense clients with the same concern and attention to detail. Wolf also serves the majority of the nation's largest insurance carriers. If it does not have the skill set needed, Wolf will use its significant relationships in the industry to find what a client needs.
Wolf employs a Team Approach to case work, meaning each case is reviewed from the perspective of a number of engineering and scientific disciplines. This requires a large, experienced staff centrally located in the same office to foster this unique kind of technical interaction. Sole practitioners and widely distributed resources simply cannot provide the same level of case technical review.
Recently, Wolf has found a synergistic application for its staff expertise and experience in the area of Research and Development. Wolf has approached this venture very carefully, so as not to divert attention from its core business. In fact, the R&D effort provides a breeding ground for new experts to be developed, and lends credibility to the experts already on staff. This approach has led to success in a very short period of time, in the form of multiple federal government contracts and State of Indiana matching grant funding to pursue the development and commercialization of new products.
